Often referred to as the “Ag Center,” the Moore County Cooperative Extension Center is considered the hub for agriculture information for the region. A trip to the Center, located in the heart of Carthage, is worth the drive. In addition to picking up tons of area pamphlets and brochures about the local farming community, you can also learn about upcoming classes, the area’s 4-H program and camps as well as parenting resources. Don’t forget to stop by and try to stump the Master Gardener with your toughest horticulture question. If you’re up for a little R&R, consider bringing a lunch and hanging out at the pond before you head home.
