One of the most appealing features of Moore County is its eclectic mix of dining, shopping, tourism and naturalism. No matter where your family’s interests lie, there’s something for everyone.

Shopping

If you’re ready to shop ‘til you drop, then look no further. The county is teeming with historical towns lined with boutiques brimming with their wares, countered by traditional chains for convenience shopping. If you’re a mall goer, however, take note: you’ll need to drive an hour or more for a one-stop shopping or outlet experience.

Dining

Is your stomach growling and your cupboard bare? For such a small town feel, you can find most any cuisine you’re craving—from great burgers and fries to fine dining with renowned chefs. What’s more, many local restaurants offer regular “kids’ nights,” where parents can feed their kids on the cheap. Pure genius.

Exploring

Get out and get going! Greater Moore County is chock full of history, which offers up oodles of opportunities for family fun. Check out some of the historical homes dating back to the 1700s. (No televisions, computers, or cell phones—oh my!) Then stop by one of the many area museums and modern-day attractions.
