Arts & Crafts

The Arts Council of Moore County in Southern Pines (artscouncil-moore.org) is a hub for kids through Moore Creative Arts, its youth arts division. Activities range from art workshops to the annual Young People’s Fine Arts Festival competition in March (for kids K—eighth grade) to the Arts in the Park events every September at Camelot Park. The council has great offerings for adults, too.

Pottery

Let your kids get their hands dirty while playing in mud! Colors ‘n Clay, 9th of September and Southern Pines Recreation and Parks offer pottery events, classes, and camps at various times throughout the year. Additionally, both local pottery studios are open to walk-ins and have a wide range of pieces and projects to choose from. Perfect for every member of the family including grandma!
