We recently had the same thing happen in our neighborhood. No one new the individual had moved into the neighborhood which is 80% families with children. It's pretty scary to think that his could happen right around the corner from my house but that is now our reality.

Here is a good site to use for finding out who is living in your neighborhood www.familywatchdog.us. Don't use the .com version of that name. It is not the same company and they charge. The government run registries are FREE.

FYI, last year one of our members almost had her daughter taken at the Optimist Baseball Field during a game. I wrote about it in one of my blogs. I realize that overall this is a wonderful community to live in but reality is that predators are everywhere that children live and we need to keep our eyes open.

So, take a look at whose living in your neighborhood before you send your kids outside alone.
