It is really difficult to find part time care but the other Moms are right about Child Care Connections- it is a great resource and they can be creative with finding childcare, possibly other than with a day care. The Watch me Grow facility in SP is a great option, I have heard many moms say they are very pleased. As far as your career, I don't have much to offer- but good luck to you! I am sure whatever decision you make will be the right one.

Luv-A-Kid Montesori is AWESOME for your 2 1/2 year old. However, they only take children 2-5. If you are able to get a job at FirstHealth, their CDC is top notch for all ages.

Watch Me Grow has a facility in Southern Pines and Pinehurst. They do all-day child care although I have heard that they will do drop-in, too. I have no personal experience with them so I can't tell you how good they are but they are worth looking into. CyberEd in Southern Pines (located in the Southern Pines Primary School campus) has an all-day pre-school program but probably 3 is the youngest they take.

The part-time pre-school programs are probably all full at this point but I highly recommend Little People Loving and Learning which is located in the Southern Pines United Methodist Church. My son went there and we are still friends with all the teachers there. They have a 2, 3 and 4 year old class. Fellowship Pre-school, run by Miss Connie, is also a great program. (692-9106) They have a 3 and 4 year old class.

For your 10-month old I recommend Sonshine which is in the Baptist Church in Southern Pines (I think) 692-7912. They take infants up to 3 or 4 years old. It is only a part-time program. I have heard great things about the infant program and only mediocre things about the toddler program so I would suggest checking it out.

If you were to get a job with First Health (one of the biggest employers in the area) you would have access to what is probably the best child care in the area. You can only use them if you work for First Health.
