Fall Festival this weekend!

This weekend, the 25th, my son's school, Pinehurst Elementary is having our Fall Festival. We have chosen to "Go Green". Therefore a lot of the things there to do will be green. We will even have visitors from the county to help us promote Pinehurst being green.

We will also have the brand new Beautiful Sandhills Kids Guide for sale.

Sandhills Kids Book!

This weekend, I got my copy of the Sandhills Kids new book! It is GREAT. I could not wait to look through it (and to find my name in it!). It has even more stuff in it then I thought would be there!

You guys did such a GREAT job on it. I am so proud of you and thrilled that you are showcasing our area!

End of Grade Tests!

ere? The teachers do not give you extra papers for the kids to do, they tell you to go to the kids school store and buy a book. That is not what I am looking for. I am looking for them to care about a stuggling kid. I know that mine is not the only one struggling, so what do the other parents do? Do they all send their kids to Sylvan? If I had $5,000 for the cost of it, I would do it. But I think there should be another way to help.

Report Card

So, while I was in the hospital this week for some surgery, the "boy" came home with his report card. To my shock and happiness he did better. Went up in Math and Reading. I do not know how, but I am thrilled. He has been working harder, I know. And I guess it shows. He is in 4th grade and it was not what we expected. It is much harder. Hope next semester is just as good. (But I will pray for better!)
