Sleep is Overated!

It seems that as they get bigger so do all the things I have to do, from homework to laundry to extra-curricular activities. Year without Guilt

Personally, I think Emma's passion for hunting is wonderful. It is something she does with her father and thoroughly enjoys. She is not focused on the dark aspects of hunting (like killing, butchering, etc) but on the sport on it. She loves sitting in the woods quietly, watching the animals and observing nature. She also enjoys being a good marksman which I think is very empowering for a young girl.

Apparently the most exciting thing to happen to Southern Pines during the holidays was the disappearance of the Broad Street Grinch and I missed it! Festival of Trees - A Must See

Halloween and Power Tools

How do you say Good-bye?

rs make it through another deployment. It broke my heart to see the pain in his eyes as he said good-bye one last time before he shut the door and drove away. I spent the rest of the evening holding my daughters while they cried themselves to sleep. And when they had finally dozed off, I cried.

Great PTA Fundraiser

Our school, Southern Pines Primary, decided to hold a fundraiser night at MOE's. It was incredibly simple. First, we picked a night of the week and posted it on the school calendar. We included a reminder in the school newsletter and then sent home flyers with each student on the day of our fundraiser. That night, the only thing parents had to do was show up and have dinner with their kids at MOE's in Aberdeen.
