My Introduction to you! - 2007/10/16 15:45
My name is Christine and a mom to 3 fantastic children and I am also the manager of a program here in the Sandhills area. I will talk more about that later.
Now about us...
We are a military family (Army) . Being a military family we have had several opportunities to see many fantastic parts of this great country and a few other countries as well. We have, so far, called 5 different states “home”; Virginia, Washington, California, Colorado and now North Carolina. So the saying goes, “home is where the army sends you.” I am originally from Virginia and my husband is from the golden state of California. We met while I was enlisted in the Army and we were both stationed at Ft. Bragg.
As I said in the beginning, we are the proud parents of three amazing children; 11, 7 and 3. Two of those have a special need.
My eleven year old was diagnosed with ADD just a year ago. We have had many challenges with her over the years, so when she was diagnosed, it all made sense.
Our most challenging child is our seven year old son. He was diagnosed with Autism three years ago.
Now back to my job. well it is hard to call it a job as I love what I do. I am the program manager for a grass-roots organization called Family Support Network of the Sandhills. As the program manager I am here to help you and other parents who live with and love a child with a disability or a chronic illness.
