Q&A for Sept 07 - 2007/09/06 23:22 What's playing in your car? Tell us who's in control of your radio during the morning drop off and afternoon pick-up now that the kids are back in school!

Re:Q&A for Sept - 2007/09/09 21:37 Well, I don't usually control the radio I'm sad to say. So while the kids are enjoying their personal driving service, we're all listening to Dora the Explorers latest hits or KidzBop. However, on the rare occassion that I'm alone in the car and actually remember to change the CD player, I usually pick-up a local station or turn up the volume on some of my favorite 80s hits. Nothing like jamming to a little B52s or Def Leppard!

Re:Q&A for Sept - 2007/09/18 17:23 I drive about 50 minutes to work each way, so I have an XM radio and listen to headline news in the AM. My boys favorite song is currently "I don't like your girlfriend" by Avril Lavigene (spelled wrong I am sure)! My 2 year old calls it the "hey, hey, you, you" song. Pretty funny listening to a 2 year old boy sing it! (It is the cleaned up version.)

Re:Q&A for Sept - 2007/09/18 22:01 We actually switched to satellite radio about 6 months ago and since then I rarely have requests to change the radio station. We listen to The Message on XM, which is contemporary christian and the kids LOVE it. Once in a blue moon they ask for the kid station but none of the nagging I used to hear with a regular station.

Re:Q&A for Sept - 2007/09/25 22:13 It is a very rare moment if I get o choose what we listen to. Ususally it is one of our many kids cd's that I store in the car. We don't have a satellite radio in the car and actually, I kind of am uncomfortable with using the radio on a lot of stations because you never know what kind of things are going to be said during a commercial, by a radio host or even in the songs themselves. Kind of a sad truth I suppose. My kids are all under five, which adds to my caution I suppose.

Re:Q&A for Sept - 2008/01/23 13:02 I have XM Radio, too, but I also have a 25 minute commute to work every morning. I drop the kids off 5 minutes from the house, then I have 20 glorious minutes of listening to whatever I want.
I have recently started listening to Top 20 on 20, but I also like the 90's channel (since that's when I was in hs and college). Sometimes I'm really more in the mood for XM comedy.
