About Us

Located conveniently between Pinehurst and Southern Pines, just down the road from Belk and the Pinecrest Shopping Center, the Lawn and Tennis Club of North Carolina is  the premier tennis club of the Sandhills. With a wide variety of family oriented activities, we offer something for young and old alike with all levels of skill and ability in tennis instruction and play. United States Professional Tennis Association certified instructors are available to meet the needs of each player in your family. Club member interaction is our goal in providing our members with plenty of great tennis, pool fun and social gatherings. We encourage each member of the family to participate in the game of tennis and leave no stone unturned when it comes to having fun. We also have childcare available for those players who don't have as much free time to enjoy the courts.

Our Staff

Our USPTA staff include Don T. Campbell, General manager, Ryan Peterson, Director of Tennis, and George Lowe, Head Tennis Professional who ensure Tennis Leagues are active and open to all players at various skill levels and schedules so each family member can participate at their own convenience, whether it suits the morning players, the evening players, or the young players after school.  Lessons in group or private sessions are also available by our instructors, as well as, tennis camps for the kids throughout the spring and summer. The club hosts USTA teams in men's, women's or mixed doubles divisions, and junior clinics are offered throughout the school year.

Our Services

The Lawn and Tennis Pro shop is a full service pro shop complete with racquets, clothing, shoes and accessories. If there is a need for racquet stringing, we are there to get the job done with out delay and have ball machines for rent by the hour or by the year.

We also offer.....

• Free Child Care - Available for members weekday mornings.
• Seven Clay Courts - Provide Ample space for play. ALL courts are lighted to allow for evening play.
• Our Pool -  Offer spacious decking and ample space for sunbathing and socializing. The thirty foot permanent awning provides shade for those who wish for more shelter from the sun. Each morning before 10:30 AM, the pool is reserved for adults who are "serious" about their swimming exercises and open to families the rest of the afternoon.
• Leagues - The club leagues are active and are available for players of all levels with varied schedules. The club is also host to a large number of USTA teams. Men's, Ladies, and mixed doubles teams enjoy playing opposing teams.
• Socials - Adult, junior, and family activities take place at the club, with most gatherings on the huge social deck. Cookouts, round robins, and other social functions encourage interaction between club members.
• Pro Shop -  The club has a full service Pro Shop to meet the needs of the members. Racquet, clothing, shoes, and accessories are all kept in stock. Racquet stringing is available without delay. A ball machine is also available for rent by the hour or by the year.
• Lessons - Private and group lessons - Available for members of all ages. Junior clinics are held throughout the school year.

Memberships - Tennis and Pool

We offer three membership levels - Individual, Family and Junior. Our memberships include full access to all of our tennis facilities and pool. If you are not a tennis buff, then consider a Pool Only Membership and enjoy spending your summer staying cool.
