About Us 

Whether you come as a family or with a group, Jims, Gems and Gold is the perfect choice for a day of fun. Both young and old will enjoy the experience and wonder of finding their own treasures.

Our staff will be happy to assist you and your families as you learn the art of panning. After you've found your rough gemstones, we'll identify your stones for free. We can even turn your stones into beautiful custom made jewelry. Don't forget to visit our gift shop for a great selection of souvenirs.

Groups & Birthday Parties

Jims, Gems and Gold is the perfect spot to hold your next school trip, scouting event or birthday party. We offer discount rates for groups of 10 or more. Our site can easy accommdate large groups up to 50. You provide the food and we'll setup a canopy and tables for your gathering.    

If you can't come to us, then let us come to you. Our mobile panning shed allows us to set up at your special event or school function. Just give us a call and schedule us for your next function!

Planning Your Visit

Jims, Gems and Gold is conveniently located on Hwy 211 in Aberdeen just a short drive from downtown Southern Pines.  

Hours of Operation - Wednesday-Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sundays from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Open Year Round.

Small Buckets start at $7 and includes free use of panning equipment.

Are you visiting the area? Then allow us to ship your order home while you enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Discounts

We offer a 10% Military Discount with proper identification and reduced rates for groups of 10 or more.

We also participate in the SandhillsKids Card and offer $1 off discount per bucket.
