Welcome to Goshin Dojo

Goshin Dojo is Moore County’s only full-time, professional martial arts school.  We have classes for adults and children ages 5 and up. With more than 4000 square feet, our school is the most spacious and best equipped martial arts training facility in the Sandhills. Our certified Black Belt instructors are experts at providing you with the very best martial arts training available.

We teach much more than kicking and punching. Our instruction is based on the eight traditional Black Belt Attributes of Courtesy, Humility, Integrity, Respect, Patience, Perseverance, Loyalty and Gratitude.

Safe, Healthy, Happy, Confident Kids! Childhood obesity is the number one health risk to our children today. Our program helps keep your children active and healthy for life while teaching them some potentially life-saving skills.

Our adult classes teach you self-defense, get you in shape, and help you relieve all of the unhealthy stress that can pile up on top of you. Come in and try a couple of free classes and watch it work wonders for your sanity!

Our Instructors

Sensei Tim Smith is a retired member of the US Army Special Forces (Green Berets). He has been practicing and teaching martial arts and self-defense all over the world for over thirty years. Mr. Smith is a certified military Close Combat Instructor, and is also the only certified KUBOTAN instructor on the East Coast. Mr. Smith is a student of Master David Okawa Baize and is currently ranked as a 5th Degree Black Belt by the United Bujutsu Federation.

Sensei Erica Smith has studied martial arts for over twelve years. Mrs. Smith is a student of Master David Okawa Baize and is currently ranked as a 3rd Degree Black Belt by the United Bujutsu Federation. Mrs. Smith is also a Certified Public Accountant.
