About Us

The 9th of September Pottery Painting Studio is the perfect spot for a day of family fun. Whether you're new to painting or an experienced artist, our large selection of pottery pieces and colors are sure to inspire. Our knowledgeable staff is here to help you along the way as you create your unique work of art.

How It Works

1. Choose a ceramic piece that inspires your creativity. 

2. Decide how you want to paint your piece. Feel free to use our wide selection of stamps, stencils and sponges to personalize your creation.

3. Pick your colors and start painting! We'll supply all the tools you need for your work of art.

4. Finally when you piece is complete; we'll glaze and fire your piece in our on-site kilns. And in just a few days, you masterpiece will be ready for pick-up.

Other Services

Our studio is the perfect spot to host your next birthday party or group outing. Whether you use our private room or reserve the whole studio, the 9th of September will help you customize your party, shower or group activity.

We offer a wide selection of birthday party packages starting at $10 per child. Our party packages include up to 2 hours of fun, a ceramic piece for each child and the use of our party room. Let us help you plan the a spectacular party for you child and their friends.

Hours of Operation 

We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. We will also open on Sundays/Mondays or special hours by appointment for you group or function. We are conveniently located in Downtown Southern Pines across from the Train Station

Visit our other location in Central Park, 1030D Seven Lakes Drive in West End across from the Baptist Church, Tuesday - Saturday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
