is a private, non-profit regional healthcare system with its main hospital, Moore Regional Hospital, located in Pinehurst. The hospital is an acute-care facility with 385 licensed beds and offers a full-range of advanced healthcare services, as well as a health and fitness center that residents can join. In addition to an award-winning hospital, Moore County is also home to Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, which offers specialty oriented medical and surgical services, as well as numerous primary care providers.

Pediatrics, Ophthalmology and Dentistry

There are two local pediatric clinics, a pediatric ophthalmologist and various family dentists specializing in routine care and orthodontics. Although there is no pediatric dentist in Moore County, several local dentists will see children under three for routine care.

Moore Free Care Clinic is a private, volunteer-based, non-profit organization that provides primary health care services at no cost to limited-income people who lack health care insurance. The clinic operates on an appointment-only basis.

Health Check/Health Choice

The Health Check Program allows eligible participants to receive comprehensive well-child check-ups, immunizations as well as vision, hearing and dental screening services. Along with Health Check, the North Carolina Health Choice program provides low-cost health insurance to uninsured children whose families cannot pay for private insurance and who do not qualify for Health Check (Medicaid).
