Swimming & Pools

Dive into a fun, low-impact, healthy activity!

Whether on a team, taking lessons or just hanging at the pool with a few pals, kids of all ages can have a splashing good time. Swimming lessons are offered seasonally so sign-up early to make sure your fish are in “school”.

Although most large private communities in the area have pools available to members, several pools in the area are open—or offer memberships—to the public. Seasons, fees and facilities vary. Be sure to contact the specific pool for details.

If the fish in your family is past swimming lessons, then consider signing them up for one of the area’s swim teams. The Moore County summer league includes the Sandhills Sandsharks, Seven Lakes Stingrays, Southern Pines Elks Club, Pinehurst Parks and Rec and CCNC Piranhas.
