All Half Day Summer Camps run Monday – Friday and are offered for multiple weeks. They are great choices if you need a full week camp but don't want to send the kids all day long. Most half day summer camps take place in the morning. Sandhills Sports CenterAre your children tired of sitting around the house all summer? Are you tired of hearing there is nothing to do? Is it raining and the kids need to be active? Well, come join us at the Sandhills Sports Center Summer Camp. The children will have a blast. They will rotate through the following activities: Soccer, Football, Baseball, Parachute Games, Dodgeball, Relay Races, Batting Cages, Rock Climbing, Bouncy Gym, Kids Games, Laser Tag, Obstacle Course, Arcade, Indoor Field, Outdoor Fields and much more! The Merry Hearts at Bethesda Church - Summer CampsThe Merry Hearts Summer Camps are open to children ages 2 1/2(two years old by Jan. 1 2008) thru 4years old. Camps operate from 8:30 - 12:30 Tues,Wed and Thurs. We provide the snack but we ask that the children bring their own lunch. Children should come to each camp wearing clothes and shoes that can get wet (bathing suits or shorts and t-shirts) or whatever they are comfortable in. The morning starts with outside centers that include water tables and sprinklers. Arts and crafts, songs, stories, outside games and freeplay on the playground fill the rest of the morning. Camp themes are as follows: Water Water Everywhere - June 10-12 and June 17-19 A Day at the Beach - July 1-3 and July 15 - 17 Caterpillar to Butterfly - July 22-24 and July 29 - 31 How Does Your Garden Grow? - Aug. 12-14 and Aug. 19-21 The Merry Hearts at Bethesda Church offers a Moms Morning Out and Two's program for the youngester in your family. Swimming, crafts, games, sports and more will highlight mornings of excitement. Registration should be done separately for each one week session your child will attend. Registration forms will be available at the Recreation Department and the Fitness Center. Drop-off is earlier than 7:30 a.m. and campers must be picked up by 12:30 p.m. A fee will be charged for late pick up. No lunch will be served and youth should bring their own snack each day.
