The O’Neal cross country team competed at Wendell Park on Thursday. Top results were 7th-grader Molly Kuzma who won the varsity girls race in a time of 20:47. Senior Josh Russell led the boys team with a 12th place finish and a time of 18:59.
Following Molly in the girls race was 8th-grader Emma Johnson in a time of 24:08, junior Sophia Meszaros in 26:08, freshman Ceci Bockoven in 27:06, freshman Isabel Huesa in 30:23, junior Simone Woolley in 31:51, and 8th-grader Bray Woodard in 31:58. Following Josh in the boys race was junior Jack Casey in a time of 19:11, junior John Grimm in 20:04, junior Jesse Ingham in 22:09, and senior Ian Johnson in 22:32.
The team has the week off, but their next meet will be on October 13th in Raleigh.
