Fall Coach Pitch Baseball     Fall/Winter – 2015

Co-sponsored with the Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills, this league is for boys and girls ages 5 – 7 as of August 31, 2015. The emphasis is on FUN and skill development in a pressure free environment. No score is kept during games and all youth in attendance are guaranteed to play. All practices and games are held twice weekly Mondays and Wednesdays at Cannon Park. Practices begin Monday, September 14 and coaches will notify parents about the first practice time. Anyone interested in coaching should indicate so during registration. A mandatory coaches meeting will be held on Thursday, September 10 in the Council Room at Village Hall starting at 6:00 p.m.

$20 Residents, $40 Non-Residents

Youth Cheerleading     Fall/Winter – 2015

YOUTH CHEERLEADING Ages 5 – 12 Program for girls to have FUN while learning cheers and routines. Age will be determined as of October 16, 2014. Girls will be put on four different teams, and cheer for the boys 11 & 12 year old basketball teams. Games will be held Thursday evenings at the Pinehurst Elementary School gymnasium, during the months of December – February. Practices will be scheduled throughout the season, beginning in December. A cheerleading outfit and pom poms will be provided. Coaches are needed, so please indicate on the registration form if you are interested in helping. The deadline to register is Friday, November 7.

Coaches Meeting: Tuesday, November 18 at Village Hall 6:00 p.m.
$30 Residents, $60 Non-Residents

Fall Youth Inline Hockey Clinics     Fall/Winter – 2015

YOUTH INLINE HOCKEY CLINIC Ages 5-18
Pinehurst Parks and Recreation Department is offering FREE inline hockey clinics for boys and girls ages 5-18. These clinics are for beginners and advanced beginners to work on specific skills to improve their game. Participants will need to bring helmet with protective mask, elbow pads, knee pads, shin guards, mouthpiece, protective cup/pelvic protector, hockey gloves, hockey stick and In-line skates. All clinics will be held at Rassie Wicker Park located at 10 Wicker Drive Pinehurst, NC 28374. Clinic dates are August 21, 28, September 4, 11. The clinic is from 6pm-7pm each Friday night.

Fall Youth Inline Hockey League     Fall/Winter – 2015

For girls and boys to have FUN while learning the basic fundamentals and skills of inline hockey. Age will be determined as of January 1, 2015. Age divisions and days of the week may be modified depending on registration numbers. Mandatory equipment includes a helmet with protective mask, elbow pads, kneepads, shin guards, mouthpiece, protective cup/pelvic protector, hockey gloves, hockey stick, and inline skates. Anyone interested in coaching should indicate so on the registration form and fill out a coach’s application.

Registration is currently open and will close Friday, September 11.
Mandatory Evaluation Day for All Players and Coaches will be held this season.
September 16: 5-8 year olds at 6pm; 9-13 year olds at 7pm.
September 17: 13-18 year olds at 6pm.

Days of the week planned for each age division are:
5-8 year olds: Tuesdays/Sundays starting September 22.
9-13 year olds: Wednesdays/Sundays starting September 23.
13-18 year olds: Thursdays starting September 24.
All age divisions will finish up by mid-November, weather permitting.
Age divisions and days of the week may be adjusted depending on participation numbers.

The cost of the program is $20 Residents, $40 Non-Residents.
